Hi folks. It’s been about 6 years since I posted on here, looks pretty quiet these days!
Quick question.
I’ve got a 1970 XW Fairmont, factory 302W, Column auto. It’s stock as a rock.
I’m starting to source bits and pieces for it now.
Can anyone tell me if it had a decal on the air cleaner?
I think they would say 302 high performance or something, but the air cleaner doesn’t look like it’s ever had anything on it. It’s a one owner car- my dad bought it in 1970, unfortunately I can’t ask him as he’s been gone a little while now unfortunately, but i obviously have the history of the entire cars life…
Did the fairmont with a 302 have the aircleaner decal?
Any help would be most appreciated.

Mal. my brother had a wagon XW Fairmont mit 302W and auto many moons ago (he drives a near new Camry these days.. . haha very different ) my recollection is it had a curving 302 V8 sticker in black on a blue air cleaner with a sort of funny checkered flaggy thing/symbol at each end sorry no piccies |
