can some one please tell me if xd rear doors are the same as xc. as im not much into fords but im doing up a xc for a mates 50th birthday.

This is purely an educated (read logical) guess but Ford used essentially the same tailgate from 1972 XA until 1999 XH utes. Has to be one of the longest serving auto panels of all time.

A panel van is not much more than a ute with a lid so I'd say that the hole in the back of them was also the same between XA-XH so the doors should interchange.

Yes, its the same. Might be a slight difference but both can be used for the same purpose.

Oh and the handles on them have a habit of breaking so don't chuck the handle or mechanism off your stuffed doors.
