Got an ipod cable to hook up to the factory stereo off ebay today. Hooked it up after following the instructions which were a tad vague. So thought I'd just share the procedure here. The 2 plugs are easy enough to find if you can slide under the dash and hold a torch up behind the fuse box. The blue and white plugs are hiding just behind there. Feed the cable over the steering column and make sure you have a couple of cable ties handy. You need to make it safe once installed so it doesnt fowl your feet. Now the tricky part for me was removing the tissue box holder which also has the lighter, errr i mean power thingy. You need to remove the gear selector surround. It just pulls up and out. Start from the front and gently lift and it comes out easy enough. Lurking just under it are 2 phillips head screws that hold the side pieces of the console on. They call them the wings. Undo those and the side pieces come off exposing the screws that hold the tissue box holder in place. You undo the 2 top screws not the ones facing out. Then the tissue box just slides out enough that you can feed the cable through from the back of the console. Put it all back together in reverse order and you are done.
