This weekends jobs include wiring and fabricating the new radiator support panel. I also need to plantheroute of the heater and A/C hoses so I can buy the appropriate fittings.

Radiator support panel modified and ready to final weld. A/C condensor, transmission oil cooler and 14" thermo fans also mounted..

Newold school steel smoothie wheels for the ute. 15x6" on the front and 15x8" with a lot of dish on the rear. Front rotors will be changed the 296x32mm Toyota Soarer to give the 32mm thickness needed for the Corvette C5-6 calipers. Heaps of clearance still so all looks OK.

Yesterdays effort. Old, too wide, VK diff out and the new wheels in place. Overall width will now be 1375mm. We also trial fitted all the front sheet metal.

We managed to get some wiring sorted last weekend. all the major runs are done. Now it's just a matter of terminating everything and getting the relay and fuse panel wired and connected...

Some wiring work done, larger front rotors machined down to 310mm to fit inside the 15" wheels. Air Conditioning and heater hoses finished.

A/C control knobs, 3 intotal will live in the original radio cutout. I'll fabricate a recessed box for them. Main power distribtuion also sorted. I just need to terminate all the wiring at the fuse/relaypanel and it's done..

Shortened BA falcon ute diff fitted. Relay and fuse box install started and finally sway bar mounts cut off an old diff ready for welding to this new one..

Wiring finished, with the exception of the fuel pump circuit. I need to get an oil pressure cutoff switch before I can finalise the fuel circuit. All the rest of the circuits are terminated and the main fuse panel refitted. It's a tight fit up behind the glovebox but it all fits. We found a bolt on USB connector so we will also bolt it in to allow her to charge her phone. Refitted the mockup dash to make sure it all fits

Scott, why not utilise an LPG cut-out relay for you fuel pump switching. Easy to wire in, simpler than an oil pressure set-up & when you fit the EFI, a simple substitution. I have them at work, phone me Monday.

Finished off the wiring and tested everything that can be tested. Seems to be ok. I ran the speedo cable through to the dash also to check there was still room for it. The engineer has been and given the green light to everything so it's now tear down time and off to get the rust removed before putting the whole thing back together hopefully for the final time..

Finally all apart and the body on the rotisserie. Everything will be detailed and refitted to the shell that will be minus a heap of rust....

Commodore fuel tank getting the fuel filler moved to suit the EH ute.











Modified Commodore fuel tank straps will do the job..

Not a lot done today but it took a long time. No welder gas means all the big jobs are one hold. I cleaned up and cleaned the main exhaust pipes and tailshaft. The extractors and smaller pipes will all fit in the sandblaster so they will get done later. I also mounted the battery trays and filled a few seams under the car.
