The rear end has come out of the EH for a freshen up. New lowered Kings Springs, a set of 3.89 gears to replace the 3.08 and some custom slotting of the rear rotors to match the new 5000 series DBA front setup. The calipers will also be repainted and have new logos applied. I have also done away with the original EH spring insulators and gone to the HQ on commercial setup. This helps lower the car slightly and also helps to keep the diff from walking around as much.

Machined up some A/C port caps to finish things off


Rebuilt A/C compressor painted up and ready to refit. New braided hoses from Aeroflow help clean up the engine bay.



Dakota Digital Speedo Interface will keep the electronics happy and keep the speedo accurate.

Chassis kit has arrived. Should have the ute on the rotisserie in a few weeks and this kit fitted.... Progress finally..

USA made PowerMaster 105amp alternator is for THE EH. This are physically smaller than the Bosch unit and put out 85amps at idle.



Simple adaptor cable to suit Bosch 2 pin connector on the existing harness.

We finally managed to get the EH ute project underway. The bare shell is now on the rotisserie and ready for some action.



A couple of dogleg replacements will be needed.




An interesting modification. A bit of old school chassis stiffening.

XC Barina electric Power Steering column will be going into the EH ute project. An aftermarket controller will make it all work.




Barina steering wheel will give up it's centre to allow me to adapt the EH wheel to it.

Some work done on the EH ute project. VK Borg Warner diff modified and fitted. VS 8o litre tank fitted and CRS Chassis kit fitted..

The engine went into the ute for the initial mockup. Fitted easily with heaps of room around the gearbox so no floor mods will be needed..
