Looking everywhere to see if I can ID two Borg Warner Single Rail gearboxes
Does anyone know where to find a list of codes ?

 I have an 84 DA 7003 BA 0503 038

 and a 76 DA 7003 AA 05 03 009

Going to assume the 84 means the build year as it has an electronic speedo drive and wire fitted

 Any help would be appreciated

                Thats Great thanks
Would you know the difference between the 009 302 and 008 351 is it just the gear ratios matched to the different diff combos at the time or is the 008 stronger with bigger bearings ETC

its really stretching my memory so please dont take it as gospil but i always thought they were just as strong as each other, it was just gearing that was different |

Thanks I will get hold of a gearbox reco place and see what they have to say . When I find out I will post the results
It would seem logical that all boxes bearings and syncros where the same and only the ratios varied depending on the motor and final drive ratios combination

The ratios that you've quoted for XA/B/C I think might only apply to XC. The XB Factory workshop manual quotes box part no. 0503-003 with ratios of 1st-2.82, 2nd-1.84, 3rd-1.32 & 4th-1.00 Dr Terry |
