Hi All,

I need some help with my parents 186 red motor thats in their EJ Station wagon. Only 3 rockers are getting sufficent oil.
After sitting for a month, Dad went to drive the car, heard a noise and was running rough. Pulled the rocker cover and found #6 intake rocker was broken around the post. Ordered a 2nd hand replacement set. He also found a slightly bent pushrod and got a replacement set from crow cams.
I installed the new rods and arms, adjusted the lash while it was running to zero lash + 3/4 a turn.
I noticed only #1, #3 and #6 exhaust rockers are getting enough oil. half of the remainder are getting some but not enough, and there are3 or 4 not getting any at all. Both on 5 are quite dry.
Tried priming the rods with oil, no change.
Re-done the valve lash. No change.
Pulled the new rods out and checked for blockages. nothing found.
Oil pressure is okay. around 35 psi at mid revs. 20 ish at idle.
changed the engine oil and filter to flush out any sludge. no change.
All the lifters have oil pooled on top, pulled them all out, none are sticking or mushroomed. All okay.
Swapped the #1 exhaust lifter to the intake position. But the oil flow didnt flowing the lifter that moved.
oil hole on the rockers aren't blocked.
Engine runs fine, no abnormal noises. No recent repairs.
Any other ideas or suggestions on what is causing the lack of oil?
Thanks in advance.
