Hi All, Hoping someone can help me. I wondering if anyone can help me break down/ decode these identification Tags. I attempted to do it via FB however a lot of people telling me random things like these arent HQ- WB Tags etc and im over it. This is not my first HQ Statesman but hoping its something special. Its build date is 10/72.

It’s a HQ Deville. Elizabeth painted and hard trimmed and assembled at Dandenong. Getting close to when a Statesman and Deville production moved to Pagewood.

Off the tags nothing particularly special, it was Royal Purple originally and optioned with L30 350. I’ll have to look it up to check if anything else.

I just had a look. It was an internal GMH car of some sort, its cost centre (dealer) code is masked, ordered through Melbourne Zone office. It was the standard driveline for the L30 engine option (M41 and 2.78), it was optioned with aircon and had the standard power steering. No LSD though and you cannot tell if it was column or console shift or if it was bench or bucket seats. It may have been an employee car, or an Executive's car, or it could have been used for some other GMH internal purpose. There are two of them as consecutive cars with the same build config and same masked cost centre. But that isn't unusual. You may be able to get its original rego papers through Vic Roads under POA. They cover up the original owner but if its GMH they won't, it may tell you what dept it was registered to. Do you have its original engine? Or rego papers showing it?
