Purchased a 71 Monaro and all i got is the chassis number. Its BHZ37071S can someone please tell me what this means. Thank You

What it means is that it probably had a front end smash at one point and the chassis rails have been replaced with HZ ones as part of the repair.

Which also means the registration authorities will classify it as a hz for rego and compliance purposes (eg pollution control). If I were you I'd be buying a replacement HQ chassis and putting that in to at least have the model matched.

It may also be a HZ chassis number stamped onto a HQ rail but more likely it is HZ rails.

Is the front shock absorber top centred in the upper control arm mount or towards the rear?

HZ rails. Which means when registered you to all intents and purposes have a HZ coupe!
