Does anyone know if an XA Falcon was ever raced in Series Production? The answer will be in the CAMS homologation papers for the XA, but just thought someone may know the answer. If one did it probably would only be after Bathurst 1972, and I can only find two races after that. The Phillip Island 500 on October 21 and the Chesterfield 300 at Surfers in November. No XA was at Phillip Island from what I can tell.
I suspect though that the XA may have been the only car homologated for GroupC in 1973 and had GroupC evolution, the rest were automatically accepted having been homologated under Series Production, like the cars that had ceased production like the E49, PhaseIII, LC GTR etc. The LJ XU1 was still a current production and continued homologation evolution under the original homologation, so second question is the XU1 unique or was there another current production car that straddled GroupE and GroupC (assuming the XA was full Group C)?
