Type the following description into your safari search bar (or try it in utube) Youth at the wheel and hit enter. If all goes well it should open to a utube thumbnail with this title, hit enter and hopefully it should open in utube. The film is a bit slow to get to the part where the driving happens but well wort viewing.

Check out the following in this video:
The Holdens as well as a good range of other cars including a neat MG, a bug eyed Sprite and not least, some Triumph Heralds
The hand signals
And even the “humanity”

Hope this works

Ps: With the previous post I did, you will find this video and heaps more if you google The National Film And Sound Archive web site. I think the correct title for Smithys drive home is: One for the road” If you locate this video, have a look at the steering wheel in the FJ and also how you entered the car when it was parallel parked on the road.

Remember Hector the road safety cat add on TV that tought you how to cross the road.

Well when I drive passed the uni how many times do I see some moron that does not understand how to cross the road. I had some twat jogging on the spot last night on a small triangle island between where cars turn left and I was turning right, I was wondering if she was going to go or not, as I got the green light, not to mention people who just walk or run along the footpath and turn on to the road without looking at all, that goes on all the time, not to mention riding push bikes with black clothing at night and a idiot running on the road with the traffic when there is a bloody footpath, this is in the city with heavy traffic all about.

I always look before opening the drivers door and never open the door until cars have passed and never stand beside the car to open the door when cars are coming. I don't have faith in anyone.

I could of been in a smash the other day, went to a shopping centre where 60% were black new Australians have taken over the place and I was driving out and I thought what is the chance that this moron coming with drive straight through the give way sign and yep I was right a bunch of jungle bunny's without any regard at all did not slow down or nothing, I would of been hit for sure if I followed the law. I am sick of this type of prick getting a licence as I am sure they hand them out like lollies to any fool nowadays.
I seen of late on TV in the NT learner drivers going for test and f me dead some of these c-nts got a licence for f sake, they were f ing hopeless not to mention f ing stupid as.

Not very politically correct, but 100% true. I agree whole heartedly.

My pet hate is how pedestrians just walk straight out off the kerb & do not look right or left. They expect any traffic to just stop no matter how close they are.

We were taught to stop at the kerb, look right, look left & look right again & then cross the road. Isn't that the law ?

It's no wonder that the pedestrian road deaths are on the rise.

My guess is graft and corruption (as in a way to curtail it).
