Just wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on what size rims i should put on my HZ wellbody ute....
i want to get weld draglites, its just for the street, has a 9" diff, just wondering what offset i can have, ive heard its 3"
and is 15x7 on the front and 15x8 on the back a good size?

The trouble with using different sized rims is you cant swap your wheels from front to back. I reckon the 8's look better but it depends on what size tyre you are going to use really. I dont understand why we have suddenly started calling utes "wellbacks". They always used to be either one tonners, utes or vans. Just my pet hate.

Coupe-utility I think it is a good idea to have different wheels/ tyres front and rear on a solid rear axle car. You can have unidirectional on the rear, and asymmetrical on the front. Why wouldnt you want asymmetrical on the rear? You wouldnt swap the rears around anyway as it is bad practice to run the tyres backwards on a rotation. I am looking at it from the point of view of good handling and extended tyre life. You are then limited to no swapping tyres around at all.
I suppose if its only a cruiser it would not matter.

I burnout my rear tyres long before their intended tyre life. I find unidirectional rear tyres smoke better for me! If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/ |

15 x7 with 235 / 60 and 3.5BS rub on HQ up front, but not on HJ-WB (different guards at front)
for rear go 15 x 8.5 with 4.5 BS and maybe 245/60/15

Pontiac Rally II wheels bolt on so anything that can go on a Pontiac or Chev with a 4-3/4" PCD will fit, back space will have to suit the car.
