hey guys, anyone know where i can get a extension housing seal for a 73 lj torana?
or if i can get one made up specially?
original part number is 8850997

Try Bursons, Repco Autoone or any other spare parts shop. That number is a genuine number and most of the spare parts shops will not recognise it so just give them a description of what you want.

Karlee, my old 1984 Repco Catalogue (should never throw those sorts of things away) shows Part No PR4658 for 1160 and 1300 cc versions and PR2213 for 1600 cc. Maybe quoting these numbers to them might help. Otherwise, take your sample to a Bearing & Seal shop, there's usually one in every area.

No it doesn't, and I'm not up on 4 pot Torrie engine sizes.

From memory the 1600/1700 engines are nearly identical so I would imagine the gearbox seal would be the same between both

Thanks i'll give that a go. ive taken it in to a few bearing and seal shops and no luck at all. i cant even find anywhere to make one up. so hopefully thos new part numbers will help.
