I have a ht prem with front bench seat . Is there any issues with your Klippan belts as a sample i got from Hemco wouldnt allow me to put the seat all the back as this is my best driving position . Drivers side just makes it and the passenger side was a problem by about 5mm . Are yours purpose made or a universal fit ? I prefer the inertia belts as they give u more freedom but i need the reels to mount on the original anchor point to avoid getting special brackets made up and increasing the cost . cheers

Hi Arthur

sorry about the late reply but i must of missed this post somehow

unfortunatly klippan and hemco only make a universal seatbelt for that model, from memory the first model specific replacement belts start around the last 70's for ford and holden.

from my experiance the k2255 is the closest universal belt to match your specs, it is a 90/90 inertia (B pillar mount where the belt pulls upwards towards a pivot higher up on the B pillar) with an adjustable webbed buckle.

i havent ever personally fitted a set of these belts to a HK-HG, they sometimes require minor modifications to mounting holes as you will from memory need to reuse your original imperial bolts, i am aware of a problem on some toranas where the retractor fouls on the seat depending on how far back the seat sits etc and while i havent heard of this problem in HK-HG's it doesnt mean this problem doesnt exist, unfortunatly it means you will have to reuse a non retractable belt such as a K2257 etc

i also just grabbed a kit off the shelf and had a look, the retractor when sitting flat on a bench has a height of approximatly 68mm which should mean you have a clearance of 68mm from the B pillar to your seat, hopefully you could have a quick look and work out if they are useable or not

any other questions feel free to ask

thanks

thanks mate as the size of the retractor is what I needed to know and it should clear the seat .

Cheers .
