Not something I can help you with. Most people turf a 6cyl and fit a V8 for more performance in a HK. Somewhere like gmh-torana might have more info as this sort of stuff is normally done by the LC-LJ crowd.

Most of the bits you will need are available off the shelf, however you will need to custom build some parts.

The best advice I can give is to use good quality parts. Things like fuel hose & fittings & accelerator linkage.

With the linkage make sure you use hexagon shaft & not the cheaper round variety.

If you talk to guys that have lived with triple SUs, they will tell you linkage was the biggest pain in the a*se & keeping the carbies synchronised at low speeds is the hard part.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Strange how Holden tried multiple carbs on the red motors but never ran anything but a single on their V8’s. Quadrajet was as wild as they went.

GMH never needed to use anything other than a Quadrajet. The 327 and 350 used in HK-HQ were the lowest power output 4BBL engines of their kind and the Quadrajet was the absolute best carburetor that GM had for street use. The 308 was breathless as it was with the little 253 cam in it. Upcoming emissions arrival from September 1973 meant even triple carbs on 6cyl were finished, that is the main reason XU1 ended at that time.
