hi , i have just joined , owned many fords in my day , my current one is a beauty , a 2004 ute runs like a dream , true, had it 8 years and very few issues , now the air only runs on hot. The fuses are good , the wiring is good, had the gas checked - apparently I have gas , in Australia does anybody know where i can buy a A/C actuator? i am getting the O ring looked at in the air con , but i am beginning to think it is the actuator , does anyone know where i can buy a actuator

Sounds like a lot of guesswork going on here. If the gas has been "checked" & the pressures are correct then there will be no need to check for any leaking o-rings. With the motor running & the A/C switched on, the larger diameter pipe exiting the fire should get quite cold to touch. If it does then the A/C side of things is working OK.
I'm not sure what you mean by an A/C actuator, but your car is a 2004 build, it should be a BA Falcon. These have a rather complex item called a HIM (heater integrated module) which controls all of the heater/demister functions, both electrically & mechanically.
These are a common fail, but are an expensive repair. The module itself is no longer available from Ford & is about $900 exchange in the aftermarket. Also the whole dash assembly has to be removed to access the module.
I would get a 2nd opinion.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
