Hi HQ 350 gurus..have a look at the following HQ 350 auto !! Hmm

http://www.australianmus...om.au/muscle_view/121430

To me, it reeeeeks of "stay clear". Am I mistaken here ? Its OK not lookin to buy.

Therefore to those that know:
(1) Where are the 350 decals ?
(2) Why re-paint blue not original colour ?
(3) Why toss the old interior and not put it back ie from black to beige ? The new interior isnt HQ GTS either. Belts dont phase me.
(4) Where is the original console ?
(5) You'd think you'd put the boot badges back correctly too.
(6) Plus the XW8 and long plates look new ! Hmm
(7) Is it a very expensive Kingswood ?

Otherwise looks nice ! Warren what do ya reckon ?

Cheers John

Factory A/Cond ??

A bit of HQ, a bit of WB & a lot of bits missing. It obviously got put into the too hard basket, towards the end of the project.

Nice paint & a nice car, but $60,000 ??

Plates read OK to me. If someone has made new ones up from a set of Kingswood ID they really have had to know what they were doing to get the right option codes in place (L30 and M41) but left the axle blank (std is 3.08 for 253 M15/M20 or 350 M41). They

Firstly the 74 cars did not have 350 stickers on them.

As for all the "rare" bits, interior and colour change, this car was probably under restoation and modification several years ago, like so many other cars, so I would not be worried about that.

Nice looking car, did it to suit himself in the days when GTS/4s werent worth much I suppose. Also looks like WB brake master cylinder.

Pete.

All,

This car was advertised in Unique Cars in 1999. It rings a bell because it is one of only a few such examples from the Brisbane plant. The person who restored/modified it did so because he didnt like yellow/black as a combination. It had (in 1999)

Hi Shifty350

I think its more a case of the words "Genuine fully restored brand new condition"

Genuine - you say yes, I take your word on that
fully restored - not to GTS4 spec, part kingy GTS4 and HJ/HX
brand new condition - yes, nicely taken bac

It is possible to get reproduction ID plates made. Strict proof of ownership must be supplied.
