Hi all,

I have made a major boo boo, have a nine inch diff in Ht with Commodore rear disc brakes and stud pattern.
Now have gone to purchase and fit Weld Draglites and have been told they don't come in Commodore pattern only Chev(HQ).

I have been told they will fit though it will be tight and may stress the studs, has anyone out there come across this and will it be ok.
I do not want to redrill the axles as they have just been made and brought from Moser.

Cheers

Under NO circumstances even try and fit HQ pattern rims onto commodore pattern axles.

Many people have done it and some of them are dead..!!

The HQ Pattern and Commodore pattern actually look the same but there is about a 1.5mm difference in the stu

You might be lucky here. Commodores had a 12mm stud and HQ's had a 7/16" stud. Fords have a larger 1/2" stud. Maybe your diff place can offset drill the stud holes out to HQ pattern and you can fit bigger Ford studs to the now enlarged holes.

Because you have discs on the back you can get blank rotors so that they can be drilled to any pattern. You can put your old rotors on eBay to recoup some of the costs if they are still usable.

I think Jims got the right idea although Im sure moser axles have 1/2" studs already fitted (mine do)

if that wont work, id get the axles flanges drilled, those axles are plenty strong enough to cope with it. Get some blank disc drilled to suit.

Try a DBA retailer, they make stock and performance rotors.

This is the Rares on line shop. https://rsp-secure.com/rarespares/

Or DBA itself. http://www.dba.com.au/2006/default.asp

You don't need blank rear rotors. The Commodore rear rotors fit on HQ stud pattern, as Dr Terry mentioned, they differ by not much. The important part of the setup is that the centre hub hole in the rotor fits very neatly on the centre flange on the axle.
If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/
