When I turn the key to start my v6 vs commodore there is a delay of upto 30 seconds before the car will crank over. Nobody, including holden know what it is, has anybody experienced it and found the cause. Its got new s/motor, starter relay fitted, new key assy, and a new battery.

I had the exact same problem with my VR commodore. It turned out to be the chip in the key but if you have seen to this..???

Yes I've heard about this as well and it was the key unit. As you can't open it up you may need to get a replacement. Where's your spare key! Try that one

Yep had the same problem, I found that if you shifted to N whilst turning the key it would crank straight away. However since I replaced the key don't seem to have the problem.
