Getting a new exhaust for my HK, Tossing up between twin 2 or twin 2.25 exhaust. Pretty Stock 307 with rams horns 2 barrel rochester. A small cam, manifold and carby change may not be out of the question in the future. Should i go 2 or 2.25. Thanks for any advice

Mine has twin 2.5" with one muffler each side. Stock except for Holley 600 and manifold, has ram horns, sounds nice and breathes really well.

I will back up those who reckon the 307 goes much better with a 4 barrel & twin exhaust.

80569K, how do you like the note- not too loud? And did you use a balance tube? And what mufflers did you go for?
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right.

Two inch will be plenty, you don't want to lose too much velocity in the system. The best way to go and it is now banned in NSW is to fit a variable back pressure exhaust. I have one, used in conjunction with an X-pipe. That means at low revs the exhaust uses one side only and goes duel on low vacuum, or when high engine power is being demanded.

Sorry Premier 350, luckily 928S replied and brought the thread back to the top again.

The system was on the car when I bought it, the mufflers don't have a brand name on them, it doesn't have a balance tube, sounds nice to me and yep, it's loud alright, lol.

I did own another 307 HK Prem years ago which was dead stock, so I can compare the difference. I have no idea re the technicalities, but like I said the car goes a lot better than stock and it'll do me for a cruiser.
