Hello!!
Im not sure if this is the right place to be asking, but i have 2 vk's sitting at my fathers property.I want to get rid of them but i have no idea what type of engine etc they have in them or what they would be worth. I have taken photos of them both got the engine plate etc so here goes:

1. model: VK8VK19-134. SEPT 85. ENG V7X ---manual too (car smashed up thanks to young kids, gosh the kids today) hasnt been started in over 18 months either
2. model: VK8VL19-233. MAR 84 . ENG L31--- auto berlina with 77000kms still has original everything under bonnet & even back visor except for tyres/mags

If any one could help me out that would super!! And nothing too technical.... im a female!!

1. VK SL sedan, factory manual, 5.0L (304ci/4987cc). The V7X engine got all the good bits that the SS etc had (Brock manifold, windage tray etc) but missed out on the big valve heads. These aren't worth a lot of coin, but do pull a premium over a regular automatic 5L, as the manual VK was the "hero car" of the era for those who couldn't afford a Brock.

2. VK Berlina sedan. Factory auto, 5.0L (308ci/5044cc). Nothing too special about this one - just a regular 5L/auto combination. The low km would make it appeal to a select group, and could bring some decent $$, but that will depend on the condition of the car (paint, trim, any rust etc). Don't worry about the mags - any prospective buyer will be able to easily change them if they want an original car.

The best way for you to offload them would be ebay, with plenty of photos in the listing.
Cheers,

Mick
