these cars are fitted with an emission monitoring system and a warning lite goes on when it may need a service and if it flashes when driving u have to slow down until it stops flashing and get the car to a mechanic asap . It happened a while ago and they found no probs and wiped it off the computer . But in the last week it has come on on a couple of occasions ( no flashing ) and after a drive it goes off again when re started . No idea how these things work but could engine bay heat cause a sensor to go off as the car seems to allways run fine .

cheers

They should have told you what the computer said had failed. Probably something like an oxygen sensor or something, did they tell you anything at all?

my wife took her car in yesterday and the computer said that cyl 4 was misfiring and they replaced the coil , $295 . Last time it happend nothing came up and they wiped the memory to get the warning off and I thought maybe the same thing happend this time . I didnt really notice the loss of power to be honest as i didnt really push it when i took it for a run but the start up and idle was not normal so she took it in asap . Great little car anyway .

cheers
