Some monaro seats were the simple flip forward type without adjustment, but as far as the reclining type go, they are the same workings, but different coverings, stitching and padding.
Monaro guys should be able to give more detail on what fabric and stitching patterns were on their models.

They will both bolt onto the same runners and if you have bucket seat floor pan mounting points, those too.

I have some HK GTS (6cyl) seats as well as HT premier and brougham buckets here so I'll get some photos and email them to you so you will have a better idea of the differences. I think that the foam padding is different between the seats, but as far as the points for attaching the trim goes, they are the same.
It should be a matter of modifying the padding to suit the new trims, or getting a new set of foam rubber for a fresher support. There are lots of how to's on the net for setting up seats for fresh trim.

Good luck... post some photos

So what seats did a HQ SS have? GTS Monaro two door seats would have a flip forward function to allow passenger access to the back seat. Being the first of the 4 door sports model, did they have a bucket with only rake adjust?

So were the HQ SS a GTS Monaro tilt seat, or a standard bucket with GTS cover

Mate I have a similar thing (HT Premier buckets for HT Monaro) and spoke with Winner Products in SA and you just need to modify the padding. They can do all that for you. Cheers.
