It'd try and find one and copy it yourself. HG bonnets have the slots cut for the passenger side of centre badge.

I thought there would be an engineering drawing or a drawing in the factory mannuals. How does any one judge a car for originality if we copy off other cars for badge location.

Find an original bonnet with original paint and copy it, i'm sure someone like Davo at Bellarine would have one. I'm pretty sure I have an original HT GTS bonnet at home with the badge holes (Newcastle). My mate would have a normal HT bonnet with factory paint (northern NSW). I think you'll find most badges appear to be not as precisely located as you might think, they seem to vary. The HOLDEN letters have to be pretty precise to fit thought so have a look at an original bonnet and see what you think. If you are worried try talking to Ben Stewart.

The external holes for the 'HOLDEN' letters on an HT bonnet are square to accomodate the square retainer for each individual badge, even though the badge pins are rounded.

Looking up from underneath the bonnet there are a series of 6 round holes in the second skin. HT Broughams never had the bonnet letters but had these holes underneath making them a unique bonnet.

All HG bonnets have three oval cut outs on the right hand side front underneath (standing in front of the car looking up at the underside) for access to the name plate speed nuts. I have seen the repro GTS bonnets and they are HG type.

I'd suggest copying a standard HT bonnet for location of the individual letters. Try getting a small square file to file out the holes you drill.
