Gday all,
Looking for some info about repro gts guards for my hk.

Wanted to know if these aftermarket GTS guards for hk,ht n hg monaro's are any good or if anyone has heard anything about them?
Good or Bad.
Has anybody here bought a pair of these repro guards?

Any suggestions as to who is making the best one's close to original as possible??
Cheers Guys.
Matt.

There is only one manufacturer of these panels in Taiwan so do not listen to anyone that says theirs are better , they are all the same. As far as quality goes Rare Spares has sold quite a lot and the feedback has been all good.

I need a left front guard for my panel van and I'm beginning to think it would be more financially viable to purchase a new repro one at trade price than to pay for the repairs on any left genuine guards I have left in my posession.

i have some good original guards which ive hoarded for 15+ years, that havnt seen the light of day since th 90s which are easy repairers (both HK & HT/G ones on the shelf & ready to go now)
what would you prefer? $990 for a tiawanese one that almost fits, with no rust, or $350 - $700 for one needing a little TLC that will fit properly straight up??
guess it comes down to how original you want to build your car?

cmon australia, support your locals or???

You must have a very wrinkled guard or a very expensive panel beater to opt for the taiwan one....Jack

What's typical is the way people speared rumours on what they have heard somewhere not actual facts. We have sold over 20 pair with no complaints and I have personally fitted a right hand fender which fitted as well as a genuine one

Hi Les, do they have the HK/earlyHT hole or the lateHT/HG slot underneath? Also is the inner guard the same for the hole/slot type - ie flutes open to underbonnet on HK, blocked off for HG?

I was just at our other wharehouse and took a few photos for Les, i beleive them to be HK style from what i understand? i understand the drain hole being round or slotted (d shape), but im not sure what you mean by the flutes opening up to the underbonnet? the inner gaurd would block this wouldnt it?
