Morning all,

Putting a WB Stato dash in my ute. I assume I'll need to change the fuel tank sender to a WB stato one, and bend the float and pickup to suit? Or do I just get my sender or gauge re-calibrated?

Not sure on the fuel sender, but glovebox hinge is the hardest bit from what i've seen.

I think the gauge sender in the ute would work the stato gauge ok? Try it and see.

No it won't work. The Statesman sender has the same specs as a Commodore, while the ute/van unit is the same as HJ/X/Z.

I think the best fix is to take both items to an instrument guy & get him to put the Statesman resistance unit to the ute pick-up.

Thanks Doc. Who would you recomend in the sth west Sydney area. I've been told not to use the guy on the nth shore if I can help it.

Just for the others, using the commercial sender on the stato gauge, means the gauge starts at half full and goes up from there.
