I am fitting a TH400 behind my 308 which currently has a trimatic. Does the existing tailshaft fit or do i need to get a custom 1 piece tailshaft made up

The TH400 tailshaft is unique to that gearbox, hence the trimatic one won't fit. Hopefully you're doing the conversion properly and changing the engine block or having it converted to the TH bolt pattern instead of using one of those awful adapters, meani

I am using a 308 in my VH SLE with a factory turbo pattern block. I bought the yoke that goes straight into the back of the th 400 also.
