Just put elect dizzy into my 202 , seams to miss and fart as you take of , any idears !! i have used normal spark plugs , opened up to about 1mm is this correct!.

Did you bypass the original resistance in the wiring harness and fit a 12V coil? You need to run a 12V coil (the original blue motor one will do), and bypass the harness resistor.

Open the gaps up to 1.5mm also. The electronic dizzy gets a far superior spark at 1.5mm than at 0.9 or 1mm. And definitely do what Byron is suggesting.

make sure you install a 12 V relay, otherwise do the wire replacement from the ignition.


The wire itself is a high resistance wire and gives you 9V instead of 12V.

Basically run a bypass wire from the ignition switch to the coil, that bypasses the wire that has power on it when the engine is running. Leave the wire that gives the coil 12V when the starter is cranking. Depending upon the model that the 202 is in, you

I too have been having dilemas with electronic ignition. I put an electronic ign. setup off a VH Commy and I used twice as much fuel!!!! Does not make sense especially when you consider power/performance increased (you could actually "feel" th
