The current inner door belt for the HK-G monaro RDB-1081 are not made to the same specs as the originals. The originals have a hard backing (i.e. rubber enclosed metal backing). this keeps the rubber firm and still when screwed in. the rarespares item has no hard backing at all. So when you screw it in it twists and distorts the rubber. Also when winding the window up and down it drags the whole rubber down to a point. I've had a look at some other inner door rubber that you make and they all have the hard backing except for the HK-G monaro. Unfortunately i through away my original and cut the new one to suit and so was told i cant return them (not happy, Bayswater store). Any plans in making this rubber to original specs just like the other rubbers you make?

The product update list shows these as coming soon. They will still be a few weeks away. You have been promised a set and will receive them when we get stock. The factory only sent one set for testing and these are fitted to a car we have in our workshop for fitment projects. You should have my email address to send me a reminder where to send them.Note that the set for you will include front and rear inners (four pieces).Hopefully you can fit them straight away and let us have your comments. We have also done the rear 1/4 glass retaining rubber inners, which are the wide strips holding the actual glass. These and the inner rears all work together to complete the sealing against water.

Hi tanart, This may worth your time to investigate. Call Bill at The Rubber Shop in Brisbane on 07 3354 2053 as he has these items and they are excellent. He arranged for them to be made after seeing what Rare Spares were supplying. He is having the outer ones for the front doors made as I type this. He is a real nice bloke who wants customers to be happy.

As far as I know they do not make anything, they do sell a lot of Rare Spares products though.

I have often heard the saying, get supplier name rubbers as they are better fit than Rare Spares. Funny thing is, most moulded rubbers for old Holdens are manufactured by Rare Spares anyway!
