I am in need of assistance, I need to know what wattage the bulbs for the backlights in a HZ GTS Dash are, the only bulbs I can find are 12V 5 Watts, which only burn a dim orange when 12V is run through them, any help would be appreciated (their blade type bulbs if thats any help).

Thanks

Hi, Just a thought but I think the problem is not the bulbs. Most dash and guage globes are a small wattage. You may have a problem with the dimmer on the headlight switch, or something drawing a lot of power from the dash light's. Like I say just a thoug

Not sure about HZ, but the HX (same dash) parts book lists a 1.2 watt globe for instrument illumination.

Yep same issue here too on the Q. They have coloured reflectors which make the dash useless on dusk, but in pitch black area its useable. Take off the reflectors and its orangey too, and only just acceptable. Wouldnt mind a clue too. Maybe 25yo bulbs.

Most of the above comments sound correct. Check that everything is clean (dust etc can make a big difference) then check the voltages at the bulbs once the wiring connector is hooked up, prior to installing the dash. The lights can be up to 2W (no more ne
