could anyone tell me how many bolts and there approximate location when removing body from chassis. I plan to remove the body tomorrow for the begining of my resto.

This is each side:

Radiator support, 2 x under your feet, 1 x rear of cabin 1 x rear in front of beaver. These are all undone from below except radiator support which is from above. Put some penetrene or WD40 on the threads first, get to ones onder the firewall from the engine bay, one behind the seat from above and forgotton how to get to rear threads.

Getting the body off the chassis takes a bit of creativity unless you have a forklift or a heap of mates to lift it. You can do it by your self if you have 4 jacks and a couple of lengths of RHS.

rear ones from underneath(4)I think from memory,i also think
if you jack the car up first and put stands under it(with wooden blocks) the chassis should drop down i would think, but make sure before you drop it the stands position will let you remove the chassis.(front and rear).BETTER WITH BEER AND MATES ,THEY ARE HEAVY.

Pull tailgates off. Put slippers on tynes and go in through tailgate opening. Place a board through the doors with windows down and lift with the slippers. Easy.
I borrowed this idea and it works great.

Dont forget fuel lines and wiring and filler cap ETC.

i was very surprised how bloody high you have to lift the body, even with the wheels off

Body came of Saturday arvo without any dramas.Gotta love a forklift!!! Now to strip the chassis and off to the blasters.

Once it is blasted do some serious looking for cracks around the front shock "towers" and where the lower control arm rearmost bracket is welded on.
