Cheers for any info back in the day, diaphragm kits were the go (Holden dealers sold lots) but these days?? last mech pumps were on VK,VL and WB V8s in the 80s so a new pump will have to be aftermarket as will any repair kit Just checked, Rare Spares sell a kit as do Speedy Spares https://www.speedspares.net/951KT_p/951kt.htm
but for all the hassle, a complete new pump is the go.. about the same price as kits GOSS is the best of the brands https://www.early-holdens.com/MFP-HV8 ... or https://www.eagleautopar...hanical-fuel-pump-g25308Edited by user Wednesday, 5 November 2025 8:24:32 AM(UTC)

G’day — if it’s just leaking, a diaphragm kit can fix the problem for a pittance, especially if the pump is still working. But if the pump is “tired” or already has cracks — it’s better to put in a new mechanical pump like Bosch or Facet. I would look at Repco, classic Holden specialists (e.g. Classic Holden Parts) or eBay/AU auto parts stores. And before installing, be sure to check for rust or damage to the housing — this is a common cause of leaks.
