finally getting closer to getting the vc on the road, have rebuilt the master cylinder but the brakes are crap even though ive bled them several times. the pedal feel is a bit mushy. ive retraced my steps on the rebuild and referenced the gregorys manual. in it says when removing the cup seals off the pistons, first cut the seal retainers. ive done this but when ive replaced the cups seals there was no replacement retainers in the rebuild kit. are they even used anymore? of all the kits ive seen there are no replacement plastic retainers whats the go here?

The PBR Bosch kits I have used in the past have the retainers maybe try an auto brake specialist |

Not sure if the brand but I bought the kit from a local brake shop Would not having them installed be giving me the issue of having rubbish stopping power?
