Now the tricky task of "preserving it" without damaging it.

She has some heavy surface rust, as you might expect for 55 years in red oxide paint!

The rivet is meant to be like that I think, so you can paint underneath the tag. I assume it has no chassis number? Normally that went on after the engine bay black paint.


Those spare part body ID tags were meant to be removed and thrown in the bin. All the tags from the damaged shell were to be fitted to the new shell.
That is what I was told by two old blokes who both worked at different Holden Dealerships.
