Hi all,
I'm about to get hold of a VL Series 2 Calais instrument cluster. My stock VL 6cyl 5 speed SL currently runs with the Berlina tacho cluster - everything works fine, so it's got the right loom.

I'm going to put the Calais cluster in - I'm sure a few of you have done this before, so are there any issues I need to know about (eg is there any circuit differences btw the ones they used for 6 cyl and 8 cyl; manual and auto), or will it be a simple plug out/plug in job with no hassles? Also, what do I need to get the two extra (low fuel/water) warning lights in the centre to work? Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
Steve.

Huge thanks as always, Mick. You've answered pretty well everything that I hoped to find out. Don't think that I'll bother pursuing the reverse light option - I usually know when I'm in reverse, and I'm looking backwards and not at the pretty dashboard li

No worries Steve, thanks for the compliments.

The AE82 bonnet I got my twin spot washers off was in a "bonnet rack" (with literally a hundred others) in a local yard that does have a fair proportion of imported front cuts & engines (ab
