My HZ wagon (308), has a nasty problem in that fuel leaks out of the carbon cannister when the car is stopped (maybe when it's driving along too!!) On inspection the base of the cannister is blown off due to pressure I guess!! The car is dual fuel and this only happens when it's on gas. There is a distinct noise from the fuel cap also (aftermarket locking cap) when this fault happens too. I have replaced the fuel cap with another one (vented cap from a HZ wagon also) but that didn't help. Any other ideas?? The car still runs the original Quaddy if that helps.
Oh one other thing, does the cannister have a rubber O ring on the base or not? I replaced the base but wasn't sure if there was a seal that should go on there that may have been lost when the base blew off?
