OK, so heres a couple to keep an eye on as potentail idiots,

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-XA-XB-COUPE-1974_W0QQitemZ140341604944QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cars?hash=item20ad02f250&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Firstly, a reasonable Coupe...oh look, its been relisted and I quote RELISTED - Winner decided at last moment they did not want vehicle so it has been re-listed. unquote

Now, this kind of thing does happen, trouble is on Ebay, it happens a lot!!! So, somewhere out there in Ebay land is a bloke who pulled out on this deal and left the seller high and dry....first thing youd do as the seller would be to negative feedback his arZe yeah?, nope, a quick check of his feedback left for others reveals no negative feedback?? But why, surely you would want to let everyone know who the buyer was that shafted you??....Unless your mates bid was the one that won the car as you tried to inflate the selling price.

Be careful bidding on this one.

Scenario Two.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/xb-coupe-hard-top_W0QQitemZ250486764244QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cars?hash=item3a522cb2d4&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

A perfect example of ascertaing a cars Reserve price. A careful look at the bids, there have been three, reveal they all come from the same bidder, bidding $15K, $18K and $20K. The buyer, has fished out the cars reserve price ($20K). So what will happen now? A number of things possibly. The buyer, knowing that the seller wants $20K minimum, will retract his bid of $20K as late as possible and offer him something near it, like $15-$17K (still too much I reckon for this car but what do I know) or, more than likely, the bids will go up (the seller doing this himself because he now thinks that the rest of the Ebay crowd thinks his car is worth $20K minimum), of course because he will end up winning his own car, hell offer it to the current bidder as a second chance which of course hell reject and well see the car back here in a fortnight with and I quote RELISTED - Winner decided at last moment they did not want vehicle so it has been re-listed

Be careful out there!

Ebay could stop that practice in one go and make more money for themselves out of it by reimbursing the sellers fees (which they do already) and then chasing the non paying bidder for those fees.

Give the none paying bidder say 10 negative feedbacks until they pay up. Face it if you list something and someone bids wit 10 negs in a row for non payment chances are your going to cancel their bid.

The second coupe, the one with the $20K Reserve, has had those initial three bids pulled and now sits at just under $12K.

Ebay should charge a fee for bid retractions. Ive got over 700 feedback from over a thousand transactions and have never made a bid retraction, so you cant say the fee charge would impact on Ebayers who do the right thing.
Its a haven, and breeding ground, for the corupt.

Repent all ye sinners! =-)

Nothing wrong with this listing by it self:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FALCON-XR8-EL-STRONG-V8-AWESOME-CAR-MUST-SELL_W0QQitemZ270454167541

However I thought that I saw this same car listed last week so I had a look through his completed listings to see what had happened had he not reached reserve? Nope it looks like he has already sold the car twice to the same person:

Simple, report the item to Ebay!

Lodge it under a listing violation, not the related to Ebay motors or vehicle related heading.

It is shill bidding, i.e inflating the price by utilising other accounts. If enough people lodge a complaint they will ban his ar.se.

Tried that but there is insufficient evidence of shill bidding they say.

"Speaking with a Ford GT expert, he indicated that the bonnet should fetch $800-$1000 in this condition"

VVANKER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Genuine-Ford-XB-GT-Bonnet_W0QQitemZ270459775242QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3ef8a8a90a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Rust bubbles in the nose = super hard to cut out, its no better, in fact its a little worse, than most GT bonnets you see on Ebay. $300 tops!!

Quick, grab this genuine XB GT Bathurst Gauge set,

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-XA-XB-Genuine-Bathurst-GT-Dash-Cluster_W0QQitemZ170390997478QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item27ac1849e6&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Tacho goes all the way up to 6000 rpm, which must have been because of the special gearing of the Bathurst GT models that mustnt have needed to rev as hard as those crappy, standard GTs.

It has to be genuine because he removed it from the car himself....which he wrote off while drunk.....me thinks hes still drunk!

I know it is not Ford, But it makes it funnier. I dont really like to laugh about it, cause someone has spent a lot of time to make this Sandman the way they wanted it. There is a 1977 Red Sandman on E-bay now that has had the full 80s treatment. words can not describe. It even looks like it has "fluffy material" on the firewall, heater hoses etc. Can someone post a link to it from here?

Yeah, does anyone else see the potential rusted mess under that stuff? Fur on a firewall, keeping moisture AWAY from those places is the priority. But to invite it??????
