Deja vu, Back to the Future or returning to my roots? Call it what you will but for the first time in 30 years I own an FJ again, or more correctly a collection of bits and pieces that used to be an FJ! We picked it up last Saturday in dismal Melbourne rain after a winning E-bay bid. It doesn't look that great but is actually a pretty good body although it is missing some of the cosmetics like the grille and bumpers. Without giving too much away I intend to use it as the basis of our next project which I think I can pretty safely say will see an FJ go where no "early" has gone before. At this stage the schedule is to get it to the sand blasters next week , then to the body man for some much needed rust repairs, followed by a trip to the fabricator's for some "beefing up".
