After a long search for a half decent HQ 2 years ago I managed to find this one owner (He was 94 an unable to drive for 7 years, had it in the shed)HQ sedan with probably the worst color ever to be released on one..ROSE PINK! It Has 35 years of service history at 2-3 month mechanic/service intervals and only 132K on the clock. There was NO rust at all and it was totally unmolested when i purchased it.. 173 with 3 on the tree

The car has been restored to my taste and taken me 2 years to get it up to the stage I'm at. Almost completed and now sporting a much better look than pops had ever imagined. Now it runs a 350 chevy with TH350 and 10 bolt rear running 3.08's , also fully GTS optioned when interior arrives back from trimmer. Even managed to keep it all under the bonnet with a nice plenum setup. Only the basics to finish like a little wiring and bulbs then its ready for the road!.

looks like you were smart, and chose a great base to build your project off. just hurts to pull apart really sweet honest cars sometimes!
i really like how it was beforehand though, looks so innocent, and a rare colour combo that really works. i would have put the 350 in it as it was! :P
