can anybody tell me the correct location to mount a passengers door mirror on a hk,t,g ute door? my ute had it mounted at the front of the door in the same position as the drivers side, it looked good but was useless as a mirror as i could not see it properly, how far back along the door should it be? thankyou

Forget the exact measurement I used, but just checked the car now and mine is 160mm from the door opening to the leading edge of the mirror gasket, and you will need bolts or threaded stock & nuts not the screws provided because you cant get a screwstick up there. Hope that helps.

Would be good if they put modern mirrors (objects are closer than they appear, etc) in because it is still pretty much of an ornament.

5.5 inches from front. 1st hole 7/16 up from edge, 2nd hole 9/16 up. 9/32 dia, 51/64 apart

There you go Les, Bosko has given you the drum. How about putting that as a template on the packaging for L/H mirror stems.

This never happened did it? And the hundreds of purchasers of the rare spares left mirror kits are mounting them in the same position as on the drivers side because the kit contains two philips head screws and not two bolts like the original
