Hey guys.

Bought a new vehicle as a daily off of Ebay yesterday whilst I build another of the projects I have lying around and was curious as to the external vinyl trim that goes right down onto the front and rear doors. It's a 73 HQ Prem, everything original apart from some bolt on stuff, vinyl was redone two years ago and is part of the vehicles log booked history all the way back to 73.

Here's a picture (please ignore the spats, I'm in two minds about what I'm going to do there):

Can somebody offer me some insight into this please?

Thanks in advance.

Some interesting ones there Monaro202, the wagon would be interesting thats for sure with it done.

Statesman almost looks like the roof is rusted with that colour......

I had a HX prem with same set up, I think they called it a `continental style`, I have seen this on fords and valiants as well.

All good, I accept constructive criticism perfectly well :D

The roof interested me as I haven't seen anything like it before and judging by the log book it seems like it was fitted on sale?

Figured it was like that when you got it,I wasn't having a go at you. Losing the spats is a good call, IMHO.

These are an after market vinyl roof, have seen a few here in QLD and a couple in Vic.

Not sure who made them.
