| The all new Toyota Camry,
together with the re-priced Starlet, has
catapulted Toyota into the Passenger Car lead
nationally for September. Official V-FACTS figures show Ford
and Hyundai as the big losers in September.
Toyota's Passenger Car
success together with Light Commercial sales so
far this year of more than double their nearest
competitor gave Toyota overall market leadership
with 13,148 sales.
Holden were second with
11,141 and l~ord a close third with 11,123 sales.
Mal Crawford, general
manager Toyota WA said that while official WA
state results are not yet available, local
dealers reported 1,328 sales in September which
should give Toyota the market leadership in WA
for the fourth consecutive year.
