Toyota’s locally manufactured Camry range has a new model line-up boasting improved handling, higher feature levels, improved headlamps and lower noise, vibration and harshness levels. And two all-new models.

The price leading Toyota Camry CSi Twin Cam four sedan is to be sold from a recommended retail price of $25,240 - an increase of just 1.9 percent.

Quad Cam V6 Camry CSi comes to market from $27,800 - an increase of only 1.4 percent. The price of Camry’s most luxurious model, the Azura, is $43,070 - some $1,491 less than the previous pinnacle model the Vienta Grande.

Touring Series wagon is Australia’s only true sports model Australian-built six-cylinder wagon, while Azura combines premium handling with high-grade equipment levels.

Toyota Australia has developed new suspension calibrations for 90 percent of the Camry range, and it also has specified 15-inch wheels across the board on four-cylinder models.

New features in Camry include a speed alert in all models, new seat trim, new audio systems, a new exterior colour range, and rear-seat cup holders for Conquest, CSX, Touring Series and Azura sedan models. Seat fabric quality and feel has also been improved across the range.

Upgraded exterior items include new, more powerful headlamps, a new radiator grille, new tail lamps (for sedan) and new bumpers (for sedan).

Wind noise in all models has been reduced by developing new exterior mirrors. Road noise has been reduced on four cylinder models and on Touring Series by adopting new tyres.

Toyota’s new Camry range has 20 models, with the choice of two body styles, two engines, two transmissions and five equipment grade levels.

Camry’s five model grades are - in ascending order - CSi, Conquest, CSX, Touring Series and Azura. The new Camry range has 12 sedan and eight wagon models.

There are 10 Twin Cam Multi-valve four-cylinder models and 10 Quad Cam Multi-valve V6 models.

Transmission choices are five-speed overdrive manual and electronically controlled four-speed overdrive automatic.
