Suzuki’s Australian operation hopes to see its parent’s latest concept car, the Suzuki SX, arrive here.

With its name derived from ‘Sports Crossover‘, the SX has been moulded on a hybrid of sporty sedans and practical SUV‘s to meet the needs of young, sports-oriented individuals who crave an exciting driving experience.

"The SX really represents what we‘ve been trying to convey for so long: Suzuki is a modern manufacturer capable of producing some very exciting high performance vehicles," said Suzuki Australia’s general manager (automobiles), David Le Mottee.

"This concept demonstrates a bold new direction in design for SMC Japan and we‘re confident that the public will be just as excited by the SX as we are."

With its supercharged, 200 horsepower engine drawing heavy influence from Suzuki‘s long motorsport heritage, excitement is exactly what this sports car promises to deliver.

"The SX would certainly be a fantastic new addition to the existing high performance small car market and we would seriously consider it for Australia if and when it moves into production," said Mr Le Mottee.
