Leather bound luxury - but still a value for money price

The Kia Carnival, which has introduced thousands of Australians to the flexibility and versatility of owning a people mover, is celebrating its position as Australia’s number one people mover with a special edition.

But Kia has not forgotten the value for money position that made the Carnival number one. Despite all its features, the new Carnival Classic starts at a recommended retail price of $35,500, still below all its competitors in the Australian full size people mover market.

"The Carnival has always been outstanding value for money," says Ric Hull, managing director of Kia Automotive Australia.

"The Carnival Classic combines the luxury of leather, the style of alloy wheels and two tone paint, the convenience of remote central locking and the safety of twin air bags with Kia’s value for money policy to produce a unique people mover. There is no other people mover than can boast leather upholstered arm chair comfort with individual air vents, a superb sound system and the luxury of space that comes with a vehicle as roomy as the Carnival."

Carnival Classic has all the features and equipment that made the Carnival such a success in Australia.

Boasting a powerful V6 engine, fully independent suspension and a flexible interior with seven adult sized seats, it is also fully equipped with every feature from dual air conditioning to power windows, mirrors and steering.

It has features that some of its rivals cannot match, such as sliding doors on both sides for maximum ease of use and safety. It also has the equipment to make the most of its spacious and versatile interior. These include shopping hooks and a power socket in the boot, a plethora of cup holders and a lockable under seat storage box.

Prices for the standard Kia Carnival start at $31,990 for the manual version and $34,490 for the automatic, while the Carnival Classic opens at $35,500 for the manual version and $38,000 for the automatic.
