Leading the way in corporate citizenship
Future leaders of Australian business are meeting today at Ford Australia in
Campbellfield as part of an innovative two-day program to discuss and explore the future
of corporate citizenship in Australia.
Entitled, "Leading in Corporate Citizenship: Emerging Issues for the Future",
the program will focus on the needs and values of consumers in the future and the expected
resulting impact on future markets in automotive products and services.
"Graduates from a diverse range of companies will be given the opportunity to
stretch their current thinking in this area and develop skills and an understanding of
strategic visioning," said Ford Australias corporate citizenship manager,
Malcolm Brown.
"It is the perfect way for Ford to continue its commitment to the principles and
actions of corporate citizenship. There is no better way to do this than to involve our
smartest thinkers in exploring its future."
Undertaken in conjunction with the Futures Foundation, and facilitated by Dr Peter
Ellyard (an internationally recognised futurist), the program includes graduates from
Ford, BP, BHP, Rio Tinto, Ericsson, The Body Shop, Tickford, BTR, PBR, Bosch, Autoliv,
Youth at Risk, City of Melbourne, Ernest & Young, and South Pacific.
