Ford Chairman and CEO Sir Alex Trotman has been named the
Automotive Hall of Fame's 1997 Automotive Industry Leader of the Year. Sir Alex will be
honoured at the Automotive Hall of Fame and Popular Mechanics Annual Luncheon in New
Orleans on February 1, 1998, during the National Automobile Dealers Association's
Convention.
The honour is bestowed each year to the individual who demonstrates foresight,
leadership, integrity and purpose. It also recognises the person who contributes the most
to the advancement of the automotive industry.
