The new
Suzuki Jimny has been selected as the winner of the 1998 Good Design Award,
presented by the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry for the product
from any category that demonstrated the best appearance, quality, performance and features
that enhance ownership."In a country renowned for its design quality, it takes a
very special product to be selected above all others as the definition of good
design," says Bill Gillespie, General Manager for Suzuki in New South Wales and the
ACT.
"The Jimny succeeded because its original and distinctive design was combined with
Value for money, superb build quality and excellent on-road performance and, therefore,
takes quality design and technology to the widest possible market."
