Suzuki's new Baleno sedan and wagon will
be launched in early 1999 with prices starting with an
indicative price
of $19,000 for the fully equipped Baleno GLX sedan, with the range topped by the sporting
Baleno GTX sedan.Immediately recognizable with its new nose treatment, the 1999 Baleno
will introduce a host of improvements under the skin aimed at making both the sedan and
wagon more refined.
Air conditioning, power steering, electrically operated door mirrors and windows,
central locking and a digital stereo radio cassette with four speakers will be standard on
all versions.
The Baleno GLX will be available as a sedan and a wagon with the choice of either
five-speed manual or four speed automatic gearboxes.
Topping the range, with a powerful 1.8 litre engine and a manual gearbox, the Baleno
GTX sedan adds to the already generous equipment level performance orientated equipment
such as front sports seats and a rear wing.
Full prices and specification for the 1999 Suzuki Baleno will be announced when it is
launched in early 1999.
