| Mazda appoints new president - 14/11/97 |
| The Mazda Motor Corporation has
announced the appointment of Mr James E Miller as
President of the Hiroshima-based company He succeeds Mr Henry Wallace, who assumed this position in June 1996. An American, Mr Miller is 51 years of age and has held several senior positions with the Ford Motor Company, including Managing Director of Ford New Zealand; Director Eastern Europe & Export Operations, Ford of Europe; Group Managing Director of Samcot (South African Motor Corporation). In June 1997 he was appointed Representative Director and Executive Vice President of Mazda Motor Corporation. Born in Muncie, Indiana, Mr Miller is an Arts graduate from Michigan State University (MSU) and also holds a Master of Business Administration from MSU. He is married and has two daughters. Mr Wallace will return to the United Kingdom, where details of his new position will be announced shortly. |
